Fashion is just a trend.

Style Inspiration: Audrey Hepburn

Seeing as I have been in bed ill all week, I have no outfit posts to share. So instead, as I’m lead in bed watching Paris when it Sizzles, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and How to steal a million i’ve decided to post about style icon Audrey Hepburn. Like most young women, she’s someone I look up to, and the thing that amazes me the most is that the outfits she wore then, would be just as fashionable if she wore them now, 50 years later.

Her timeless, classic and elegant looks have made her my number one style icon.

Best buy number two

imageBeing a bit of a shoeaholic I don’t think I could love these shoes any more. Costing only £49 (£55 without student discount) from Topshop they were the perfect find. I’m in love with the colours and as the majority of my wardrobe is monochrome, they go with pretty much everything. Thank god for Topshop, and their amazing high heels.

Best buy of the week: Cambridge satchel

I’ve already posted an outfit involving this bag, however I think it’s such a good buy I’m going to blog about it again.

For £120 it really is great quality, and because the colour is so unique, it goes with just about anything you want to throw it with. Whether it clashes or blends in nicely, it stands out.

Winter Wonderland!

Snake print, leather look and suede

The last minute plan of going out for an anniversary meal with my boyfriend meant quickly shoving my hair up, whacking make-up on as quickly as I could and adding a clutch and heels to my day outfit.

Top: Zara, Leggings and clutch: Miss Selfridge, Shoes: Topshop, Peace bracelet and heart necklace: Tiffany and Pearl necklace: Vintage.

What would have been a best buy…

They were supposed to be £450 but were reduced to £170. They would have been the perfect find if I didn’t have to send them back as they were too big!

Best buy: Pink coat

French Connection: £50 instead of £160!

Spree: Monochrome

I’ve always had a thing for black clothes. More than half my wardrobe is dominated by shades of black, grey and white.

Recently, I took a trip to Zara and treated myself to a few monochrome pieces:

A casual outfit for a casual day…

Today consisted grabbing a quick breakfast at a cute cafe with my boyfriend, nipping to French Connection to pick up my order of an amazing sale coat (which I will post about later), and finally strolling to the super market to pick up a long list of boring things.

Silk studded top, black blazer and green snake skin effect flats: Zara. Leather look leggings: Miss Selfridge. Oversized bag: Louis Vuitton.

Best buy this week…

… Two pairs of zara heels.

each £16.99 instead of £40!

I’m usually always the girl staggering around in the pair of high heels that are far too high for her. I decided to put my sensible cap on and treat myself to a pair of “sensible” black heels that go with just about everything.

The pink ones, they just ended up on my shoe shelf somehow.
